According to recent reports and rumors, Pep Guardiola is interested in signing Arsenal’s Theo Walcott and will attempt to lure him to the Etihad Stadium as soon as he arrives to Manchester City in the summer.
Despite having gone through a disappointing season with Arsenal, it seems like there still are believers out there that trust Walcott and are willing to try their luck with the 27 year old English player who has been dropped to the sidelines for most of the season.
Theo Walcott is getting consistent playing time with the first team but it’s mostly just a few minutes as he is being utilized as a backup option more than anything else.
At the beginning of the season, Walcott was the preferred starter in the centre of Arsenal’s attack but the Englishman just couldn’t secure his position as he failed to score goals or become any significantly important contributor for the Premier League club and this is evident by taking a look at his goal-scoring record in this season.
