Is Theo Walcott´s place in Arsenal, in danger?

So far, Theo Walcott has spent 11 years wearing the Arsenal jersey and he has consistently been able to make over 20 appearances in almost every single season with just a few exceptions.

It´s pretty impressive for any player to perform at such a steady level throughout many years, however, despite making so many performances, Walcott has not really managed to lift any top level trophy with Arsenal or make a name for himself as a truly influential player.

Theo Walcott is a decent footballer in his own right but he has never managed to take that next step and create his own legacy other than just being that very fast player.

When it comes to key Arsenal figures, it hard to deny that Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are the most influential and crucial performers for the English Premier League outfit. Continue Reading →

TERRY, WALCOTT AND ROONEY ARE AMONG LONGEST SERVING PL STARS

Several players have spent their lifetime playing in the Premier League. Chelsea’s John Terry is one of such.

The player spent over two decades dedicated to an illustrious career at Stamford Bridge. The defender is set to exit the side this summer.

Aside Terry, there is Julian Speroni who has been with Crystal Palace for about 13 years. The goalie has spent a better part of his life at the club through thick and thin.

There is also Manchester United golden boy turn veteran Wayne Rooney. The Three Lion’ star moved to Old Trafford from Everton and he has remained there for almost 13 years now. There are speculations over his continued stay at the club as his form dropped.

Mark Noble is another long term player. He has spent 12 years at the Hammers. The skipper is popular at the club for his long years of service.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott was discovered early with the hope that he would be another Thierry Henry. Sadly he never reached such heights. He has been at the Emirates for 11 years but there are links with West Ham for a possible move his summer. Continue Reading →

Wenger praised the runs, receptions and strength of the 28-year old.

“I would say for many years he had not always had an adjusted finishing quality. But he’s improved a lot on his finishing and that’s why he scores more goals,” Wenger said. Continue Reading →

Walcott expresses his thoughts about what Arsenal needs to improve

Arsenal’s search for the Premier League title seems to be an endless one as the English outfit has always managed to do an impressive run in the top tier English League but they just fail to deliver that final push that is needed to clinch the silverware that just slips away from the hands of Arsene Wenger.

During the 2015-16 season of the Premier League, Arsenal came 2nd with only a few points behind Leicester City. In the season prior to that one, Arsenal snatched the 3rd position.

Theo Walcott has been wearing the Arsenal jersey since January of 2006 and the English player has voiced his thoughts concerning what the team needs in order to win more games and hopefully win the highly coveted Premier League silverware.

“We haven’t started the second halves very well. In previous games leading up now, we have actually played better in the second half and been on the front foot but yesterday we were on the back foot and obvious Man City dominated the ball’’ Continue Reading →

Theo Walcott blames himself for Arsenal’s draw against Manchester United

Arsenal travelled to Old Trafford on November 19 as they faced off with Manchester United in a match that resulted in a 1-1 draw as each team secured 1 point from this encounter.

When the game was over and the referee blew the final whistle, Theo Walcott accepted responsibility for Manchester United’s goal as it was scored by Juan Mata and Walcott had the job of properly marking him in that particular moment but the Englishman failed to do it.

At the 68th minute, a pass was slipped in the middle of Arsenal’s own half and Juan Mata ran upfront before knocking it into the net of David de Gea and Theo Walcott was seen trying to make it in time to cover Juan Mata but Walcott did not arrive in time. Continue Reading →

Walcott Keen to See Arsenal Return to Form

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott says that his teammates are very keen on returning back to the form when the club takes on Watford this weekend.

The game is an ideal opportunity for Arsenal to get the first win of the season. After an opening day loss against Liverpool, the gunners could only manage a 0-0 draw with Leicester City last weekend. Manager Arsene Wenger claimed that his team were now starting to get back to their best after this poor start. His assertion will be proved only if the team gets a proper result against Watford.

Even though Walter Mazzarri’s team are also without a win this season, they have had come very close to getting positive results in both their games. They will be a formidable opposition for the gunners with their 3-5-2 formation. On paper, the next three games look winnable for Arsenal since they are up against Watford, Southampton, and Hull City. In fact, out of the next five matches, only the home match against Chelsea looks extremely tough. Pointing out this fact, Walcott says that it is imperative that Arsenal make the most out of the next five games. The England international also claimed that most of the Arsenal players were happy with the solitary point against Leicester last week.

THEO WALCOTT MIGHT BE ON HIS WAY OUT FROM ARSENAL

English Premier League side, Arsenal FC are reported to be interested in Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid.

The player is widely believed to the replacement for struggling winger Theo Walcott at the emirates. Though Walcott is by no means a poor player, the ex-Southampton starlet still hasn’t really progressed to any great degree in North London despite his bright start in England.

The very pacy winger is believed to have raised concerns from head coach, Arsene Wenger as he hopes to strengthen his squad ahead of next season, after the clamour for his replacement gather weigh in light of his trophy less run. With Theo too easily knocked off of the ball despite regular weight sessions in the gym, the Frenchman might be well advised to look for a player with a bit more. This is where Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez has emerged as a genuine contender.

Vazquez can also get through some of the dirty work as well as some of the more refined aspects of the game. The player is also young and performing at Madrid. The 24-year-old has had something of a breakout season at Real thanks to injuries to the ‘BBC’ of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. His run of games in top flight football has improved his confidence and his game has developed considerably. Continue Reading →
