Liverpool legend and Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has gone all out in his praise of Jurgen Klopp. He stated that the Reds should already be starting work on a statue for the boss.
It is no secret that Klopp has done a remarkable job since taking over at Anfield in October 2015. The Reds now just two wins away from securing their first ever Premier League title in three decades. Klopp made sure they have their sixth European title in their cabinet with the Champions League win last season,
Gerrard has heaped praise on the Reds boss, labelling him the best manager in the world. Captain Fantastic added that the club should consider building a statue in appreciation.
Gerrard revealed that he has seen and met many good and successful managers, but he believes that there’s a way Klopp carries himself that sets him apart from other great managers. He declared the club will do well to erect a statue in memory of the enigmatic tactician.
Gerrard also acknowledged that city neighbour Everton have done well for themselves by securing the services of Carlo Ancelloti. He believes that with the CV and experience of the Italian tactician that Everton will soon be a force. He said the Toffees have got good players. He admitted that players like Richarlison, Dominic Calvert Lewin, Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi will take Everton to a place up the ladder.
Ancelotti joined Everton last November and he has since changed the fortune of the club since taking over from Marco Silva. Everton will return to league action this weekend as the Premier League makes its long-awaited return. Liverpool on the other hand will try all they can to wrap up their first league title in three decades.
